大數(shù)據(jù)和人工智能是近年來十分熱門的學(xué)術(shù)和社會(huì)話題。本次報(bào)告介紹在貝葉斯框架、壓縮感知和高斯過程在大數(shù)據(jù)機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)方面的最新研究成果,以及在視覺系統(tǒng)、無線傳感器網(wǎng)絡(luò)和自主飛行器等系統(tǒng)中的目標(biāo)識(shí)別、跟蹤、融合、推理和控制技術(shù)。
謝菲爾德大學(xué)(QS2018排名82位)自動(dòng)控制與系統(tǒng)工程系是英國最大的致力于控制和系統(tǒng)工程教學(xué)和研究的系,在REF2014(科研卓越框架2014)全英排名第一,在計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)學(xué)科排名第5,在電子電氣學(xué)科排名第8。本報(bào)告還介紹在學(xué)生交流培養(yǎng)和招收國際研究生方面的機(jī)會(huì)。
Big Data and artificial intelligence are hot academic and social topics in recent years. This talk presents the latest research of machine learning in big data field with Bayesian methods, compressed sensing and Gaussian Processes, as well as applications of object recognition, tracking, fusion, inference and control in smart video surveillance, wireless networks and UAVs. It will also give a brief introduction of student education and project collaboration opportunities.

Lyudmila Mihaylova教授是英國謝菲爾德大學(xué)自動(dòng)控制與系統(tǒng)工程系的信號(hào)處理和控制學(xué)術(shù)主席,是多傳感器信息和數(shù)據(jù)融合與處理方面的專家。她領(lǐng)導(dǎo)著具有國際影響的研究團(tuán)隊(duì),致力于研究自主智能系統(tǒng)的傳感、跟蹤和決策的新方法,應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域包括運(yùn)輸系統(tǒng),輔助生活,導(dǎo)航,監(jiān)控和傳感器網(wǎng)絡(luò)系統(tǒng)等。Mihaylova教授于2016年3月當(dāng)選為國際信息融合學(xué)會(huì)(ISIF)主席。她是ISIF的董事會(huì)成員,也是IEEE高級(jí)會(huì)員。
Speaker’s Biography
Prof Lyudmila Mihaylova is Chair of Signal Processing and Control with the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, an expert in the areas of multi-sensor information and data fusion and processing. Prof Mihaylova and her team are working to develop novel methods for autonomous intelligent systems: for sensing, tracking and decision making with applications such as transportation systems, assisted living, navigation, surveillance and sensor network systems. Prof Mihaylova was elected in March 2016 as a president of the International Society of Information Fusion (ISIF). She is on the board of Directors of ISIF and a Senior IEEE member.
