【海外名師】短期授課項目---Turbomachinery aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and aeroelasticity

英國帝國理工機械工程系教授Mehdi Vahdati應動力與能源學院邀請來我校從事研究生全英文課程建設工程,計劃于近期講授“葉輪機氣動、氣動聲學和氣彈”全英文課程,歡迎廣大研究生和高年級本科生報名選修(旁聽)學習。

課程介紹:主要授課內容包括如下7個章節,各章節主要內容和教學目標如下:

1)葉輪機基礎(4學時)

主要內容:

(1)Background of turbomachinery

(2)Principles of turbomachinery

(3)Main components in a gas turbine

(4)Layout of a gas turbine

(5)Evolution of jet engine design

(6)Off-design operation of gas turbines

(7)Aerodynamic and aeromechanical instabilities in a gas turbine

(8)Common terminologies for turbomachinery

教學目標:Understand fundamentals of turbomachinery

2)氣體動力學基礎(針對氣動彈性力學)(4學時)

主要內容:

(1)Aerofoil aerodynamics and flow separation

(2)Axial compressor description and design parameters

(3)Component characteristics

(4)Stages and loading considerations

(5)Three-dimensional effects, shock and tip leakage jets

(6)Blade stall

(7)Wakes and potential

(8)Distortion in flow field

(9)Experimental aerodynamics

(10)Introduction to computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

教學目標:Understand steady and unsteady aerodynamic concepts that are needed for turbomachinery aeroelasticity analysis

(1)Single and multi-degree of freedom mechanical systems

(2)Analytical solution of ODEs and PDEs

(3)Free and forced vibrations

(4)Transformation to modal coordinates

(5)Damping

(6)Frequency response function (FRF)

(7)Introduction to finite element analysis (FEA)

教學目標:Understand basic vibration theory that are needed for turbomachinery aeroelasticity analysis

4)氣動聲學簡介(6學時)

主要內容:

(1)Vibration, resonance and sound

(2)Tonal and broadband sounds

(3)Linearised Euler equations and the convected wave equation

(4)Linear waves: acoustic, vortical and entropy waves

(5)Duct acoustics: sound field in ducts and properties of duct modes

(6)Sound propagation in ducts: wavenumber and cut-off condition

(7)Sound transmission and reflection in bladed structures

(8)Sound reflection and radiation at intake

(9)Turbomachinery noise: rotor-alone tones, interaction tones, buzz-saw noise

(10)Acoustic impedance: Helmholtz resonator and acoustic liner

(11)Introduction to experimental aeroacoustics

(12)Introduction to computational aeroacoustics (CAA)

教學目標:Understand fundamental concepts and theories of aeroacoustics: aerodynamic noise sources and sound propagation, transmission and reflection in turbomachinery

(2)Dynamic aeroelasticity - blade and disc vibration, shaft vibration

(6)Damping: aero-damping and mechanical damping

(7)Bladed-disk and blade-integrated-disk (blisk)

(8)Linear and nonlinear aeroelastic phenomena

(9)Mistuning

(10)Stress, strain and fatigue

(11)Experimental aeroelasticity: testing and measurements

(12)Introduction to computational aeroelasticity methods

教學目標:Understand static and dynamic aeroelastic concepts and their impact on turbomachinery design

(7)Turbine rotor forced response due to blocked burners in combustor

(8)Turbine forced response due to combustion oscillation

(9)Evaluation of rotor endurance

(10)Design considerations to mitigate forced response

教學目標:Understand the mechanism and behaviour of different types of flutter and their modelling strategies

外教簡介:

Mehdi Vahdati教授是世界一流大學帝國理工機械工程系教授,具有三十多年的葉輪機氣動和氣動彈性力學從業經驗。2001年他榮獲世界上第二大航空發動機公司羅羅公司授予的研究員頭銜。Mehdi Vahdati教授發表期刊學術論文70余篇,行業內6本書籍的章節撰稿人,是葉輪機領域頂級期刊的副主編。Mehdi Vahdati教授也是眾多葉輪機械制造商(比如羅羅公司、British Aerospace、Parsons steam Turbines, McLaren International、MHI)的技術顧問。
