主題:SiC復合材料及涂料的核燃料應用研究
內容簡介:本報告主要介紹SiC涂層在核燃料粒子的應用以及核燃料熔覆的SiC / SiC復合材料的應用。通過實驗和熱力學計算,探究了碳化硅涂層的裂變產物釋放機理。同時,研究了高溫處理后的SiC涂料的力學性能,包括蒸汽氧化或質子輻照。采用x射線斷層掃描技術研究了機械載荷作用下SiC / SiC復合材料的裂紋擴展,這樣有助于提高復合材料力學性能的SiC / SiC復合材料。

報告人簡介
Ping Xiao is currently a professor of Materials Science and Director of Internationalisation for School of Materials. He joined University of Manchester, Materials Science Centre as a Lecturer in 2001, then became Senior Lecturer in 2003, Reader in 2005, and Professor in 2008. Ping Xiao did his undergraduate and postgraduate study of Chemistry in Jilin University, P. R. China. He went to Oxford University to study Materials Science for DPhil since 1989, and became a postdoctoral research fellow in Oxford since 1993. Then he joined Brunel University as a Lecturer since 1996, and became Senior Lecturer in 2000.
Professor Ping Xiao’s research areas covers 1) thermal barrier coatings and environmental barrier coatings for aero-engine applications[1]; 2) ceramic coatings and ceramic composites for nuclear applications[2]; 3) development of coatings and composites for application in harsh environments[3]. His research team has been collaborating extensively with industry including Rolls-Royce, ALSTOM Power, BP, Morgan Advanced Materials, Bawtry Carbon International and Beijing Institute of Aeronautical materials, China.
Prof. Ping Xiao has been a member of Coatings and Surface Treatment Committee, Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals (IOM3), UK for more than 10 years, and also an editorial member of Journal of Nanomaterials, Advance in Applied Ceramics and Chinese Surface Engineering for more than 10 years. Recently he has become an editorial member of Chinese Journal of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
